The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a small group of young people from across our programmes who use their voice to provide feedback and ideas surrounding our work. They help us to review our policies, social media use, and elements of our programmes.
Each year, the YAB lead their own project.
Some past projects include: creating a guide for adults on how to interact with young people, conducting a review of our safeguarding policies in ThinkForward and evaluating our social action project.
The highlight of my experience has been meeting new people outside of [my area] and being able to see how our project came together integrating everyone's views and opinions.

Youth board members develop their leadership, communication and organisation skills, and also get access to additional opportunities whilst they are on the board.
