Asset-Based Guide
Our asset-based guide outlines our commitment to using an asset-based approach.
We believe that in order to create inclusive spaces in which young people can thrive and succeed, we must be mindful of how we communicate with, and about, young people. We want to share our knowledge and evidence surrounding the language and behaviour we use when working with young people to raise awareness and initiate change.
We will be sharing this guide with our supporters and partners, inviting them to consider the words and behaviours they use when working with young people and move towards using a more positive, strength-based approach.
The guide also includes a project by our Youth Advisory Board, titled ‘Young Voices, Big Respect’, with their advice for adults on how to communicate and work with young people.
